Our House

Alpha Gamma Rho Tau Chapter has been called four locations home in our history. Our current house at 432 Evergreen Avenue was built in 1964. While is owned by our alumni, our active brothers are responsible for managing and taking care of the house. Cleaned weekly, we pride ourselves at making our house a comfortable and approachable home. Unique to our fraternity, our parking lot is large enough to provide free parking to all brothers who live in house. We are blessed with a prime location in East Lansing, being less than a five-minute walk to campus and the Grand River stores and bars. Our house is high quality and affordable: in-house dues range between $3,000 and $4,000 a semester, which also includes costs for meals and all fraternity activities.

Dorms

At max capacity, our fraternity can provide room and board to over 40 brothers. Bedrooms are spacious and are open to be remodeled or customized at the resident’s discretion. Most rooms are divided by walls or curtains to give each suitemate their own space.

Living Room & Library

In the summer of 2019, our alumni approved a major remodeling and reconstruction of our living room and library areas. We are now equipped with brand new, modern furniture, TVs, carpet, and wood paneling. Our library offers a quit and comfortable place to study or work on group projects, or a great area to play cards or watch Thursday night football.

Kitchen & Dining Area

Our house is equipped with an industrial-sized, fully stocked kitchen. Included in the semester dues are five lunches and four dinners served at the house a week. Our food is cooked by our professional cook Chris Olsen. Chef Chris was trained at Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland, and has experience at golf courses, catering businesses, restaurants, and MSU dining halls. Of course, food is only as good as the company, and AGR sets a tone of family every evening when we all sit down to enjoy dinner together.

Bar Room

When it’s time to celebrate, our brothers take it down to our bar room. Equipped with brand new surround sound speakers, pong tables, and a DJ booth, our fraternity is safe, comfortable, and fun place to party. When the weather is nice, we also open up our front yard porch and parking lot for dancing, cornhole and die tables.
